Check-in: 3pm – 7pm (let us know if you arrive earlier or later).
You will be staying in an agriturismo or rural B&B (depends on the dates booked). I work with several quality structures that I choose personally.
When you pay a booking deposit you will receive the directions to the accommodation with a link to Google maps.
On the evening of your arrival you will have dinner in a local restaurant (included in the price). I choose restaurants personally, so you can be sure that you will eat excellent traditional food. Be prepared for a feast: delicious starters, generous pasta dishes, meat, dessert, wine and home-made liqueurs, – all made with local ingredients.
Starts at 10am
Duration: 3 hours
We will meet in an agreed location and drive to the first winery.
We will visit a renowned family-run 200-year-old wine cellar and local vineyard producing excellent wines. You will taste 7-8 red, white, sparkling and dessert wines accompanied by local cheeses and cured meats. Afterwards we will pop in to a small shop in a beautiful historic town to taste some traditional local liquors.
Afterwards you will have a free afternoon. You can explore the small town of Tocco Da Casauria and have lunch there (I will be happy to recommend a good restaurant in the area and book it for you).
COOKING CLASS & LUNCH
Starts at 10am
Duration: 3 hours plus lunch
Your cooking classes will take place at an agriturismo or a local’s home (depends on the dates booked). Your hosts will teach you how to make pasta alla chitarra and ravioli with fresh ricotta from scratch, a tasty tomato-based sauce, crostata pie or biscotti with almonds and other local delicious specialties. After the class, you will eat what you cooked (with other tasty additions).
Please note, the menu might vary slightly depending on the season.
Check-out: after lunch
You can also book a truffle hunt after the wineries visit (at an additional cost). This activity is weather dependent (the payment will be refunded if the truffle hunt cannot take place).
